Reflected Legacy Training Program 2017

This training program is only offered to successful applicants of the selection process.

This program is designed for artists, therapists and medical staff who are invited to join a national team of practitioners to lead The Reflected Legacy Palliative Care Program in Australian hospitals and healthcare spaces.

The training is tailored and multi-disciplinary, with skill development focused on the following areas:

  • The Ink-Pressing art form
  • The Pressing Session storytelling experience
  • Working in the hospital space - hygiene, infection control, confidentiality procedures
  • Leading therapeutic experiences - facilitating emotional experiences, managing family dynamics, moving through challenging human interactions, holding space
  • Documentation - written, sound and photographic of patients' and stories
  • Recording data for the program impact study - psychological, emotional, personal, physiological impact


PROGRAM STRUCTURE

2 weeks - early 2017
6th - 10th March & 3rd - 7th April 2017, 9am - 3pm per day
Liverpool Hospital, NSW

Program will be a combination of tutorials led by Flutter Lyon, medical and allied health professionals, hands-on workshops and direct patient interactions via supervised Pressing Sessions.
